Battleracer 2008
The Battleracer mod for Battlefield 2 is coming back, and it's going to be better than ever! Battleracer 1.3 will include several new tracks in classic BF2 maps such as Sharqi Peninsula and Daqing Oilfields. In addition, we are also adding new custom maps for racing. Some of these tracks are more action-packed than the ones you've raced on in previous releases, with more jumps, dangerous obstacles, and hidden shortcuts. Also, in some races your vehicle will be pimped out with the ability to drop land mines, grenades, and more.
The global ranking system is also receiving a massive upgrade in 1.3 with attainable ranks, achievements, awards, unlockable vehicles, and support for user-created tournaments. We are working on a new implementation of ratings that focus on your skill rather than how much you race. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

Battleracer around the world
Die Battleracer-Fangemeinde erweitert sich immer mehr. Zwei regionale Fanseiten wurden zur Unterstützung für internationale Spieler eröffnet. Hier finden regelmäßig organisierte Rennen und Trainingsstunden statt. Das gesamte Mod-Team möchte sich für die Unterstützung bedanken. Wir arbeiten weiterhin an neuen Releases welche noch mehr Spaß bringen sollen.
La comunidad de Battleracer todavía va fuerte, y dos fansites regionales han sido comenzados por los fans para organizar carreras y para ayudar a los otros fans internacionales de nuestro MOD. El equipo del la Modificacion de battleracer quisiera agradecerte por tu constante ayuda - estamos trabajando en algunos nuevos lanzamientos que van traer más diversión a Battleracer!
The Battleracer mod community is still going strong, and two regional fansites have been started by fans to organize races and aid the international fans of our mod. The mod team would like to thank you for your ongoing support - we're working on some new releases that should bring some more fun to Battleracer!

Introduction to Battleracer 2142
Everybody's favourite Battlefield 2 racing mod is back, in the future! Battleracer 2142 is almost ready for its first release. Of course, you'll be driving the classic BF2142 light vehicles, but with a few twists. As you race your way through the diverse selection of BF2142 maps, you can use various forms of defensive weaponry such as EMP mines and smoke screens in a ruthless battle for first place.
And of course it wouldn't be Battleracer without the stats. In Battleracer 2142, the statistics system favors the individual skills of each racer, rather than how much be plays. Moving up the leaderboard will net you unique awards and perhaps even unlockable cars and weapons.

Battleracer featured in PC Gamer UK!
The Battleracer mod was mentioned in an awesome article in PC Gamer that talks about various Battlefield 2 mods. It's great to see that people are still actively playing (as evidenced by the ever-changing world records in +R)...we're working on some new things right now for both BF2 and BF2142.
Since the beginning of the Battleracer ranking system, over 30,000 races have been tracked from 10,044 participants. We would all like to extend a massive thank you to all our players for your support.

Battleracer Christmas Pack
As a gift for Battleracer fans around the world, we have a new winter-themed track for you to play. Santa's Raceway is a quite difficult medium-sized track with lots and lots of snow, narrow mountain roads, and perhaps a few surprises. It was created by [R-DEV]Rhino, [R-DEV]Sofad, and |-TC-|Lego of the Project Reality mod team - many thanks to them. :)
And of course, all your lap and race times on +R servers will be sent to Battleracer +R Central so you try and nab the best times.
To play, simply install to your Battleracer directory.
